Apples and Honey Sangria
1 bottle dry red wine
1 crisp red apple (Fiji or honey crisp) diced
1 Granny Smith apple diced
1 orange sliced into thin slices
¼ cup brandy
½ cup sugar
½ cup honey
1 cup boiling water
3-4 cinnamon sticks
½ cup pomegranate seeds
Seltzer
Ice
Instructions:
In a bowl mix the sugar, honey water and cinnamon sticks. Allow the sugar to dissolve. Set aside for at least 30 minutes to steep.
In a large pitcher add the wine, fruit and brandy. Add in your honey cinnamon syrup and stir to mix.
Chill until ready to serve. Top with seltzer and ice.
