Garlic Bread

  • 40-50 peeled garlic cloves 

  • ⅓ cup olive oil 

  • Kosher salt 

  • 2 sticks butter, softened 

  • ¼ cup chopped parsley 

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • A French baguette  

  • Marinara sauce for serving 

  1. In a small pan, add the garlic cloves, salt and oil. Bake at 300° F for 1 hour or until golden. Leave to cool to room temperature.

  2. In a bowl whip butter, salt, parsley and garlic powder. Whip in the garlic confit. 

  3. Slice the baguette open and spread with half the butter mixture. 

  4. Slice into thin slices and then spread the remaining butter mixture over the baguette. 

  5. Cover with foil and place on a sheet pan. 

  6. Bake at 350° F for 25-30 minutes. 

  7. Uncover and toast for 5 minutes. 

  8. Serve warm with marinara sauce
