Tsunami Chips with Goma Dare

Tsunami Chips:

  • 4 cups kettle cooked salted potato chips 

  • 2 sheets toasted nori or 4 sheets seaweed snacks, crumbled 

  • 2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds 

  • 1 tablespoon toast black sesame seeds 

  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast 

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder 

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 

  • 2-3 dried shiitake mushrooms

  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes 

  • 1 tablespoon sugar 

  • ½ teaspoon salt 

  1. Place everything besides the potato chips in a coffee or spice grinder. Blend until a fine powder forms. You may need to work in batches. Toss in a bowl with the potato chips. 


Goma Dare:

  • 6 tablespoons tahini

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise 

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce 

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar 

  • 3 tablespoons mirin

  • 1 teaspoon miso

  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder 

  • ¼ cup sugar 

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and top with sesame seeds. Serve with chips and crunchy vegetables
