Big Mac Tacos

“Big Mac” Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup of sweet pickle relish

  • 2 tablespoons of mustard

  • 2 teaspoon of white wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 1/4 teaspoons of paprika

  • 1/8 teaspoon of white pepper

Tacos:

  • 1 package small flour tortillas 

  • 2 lbs ground beef 

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 

  • Vegan cheddar or american cheese (optional) 

Toppings: 

  • Shredded iceberg lettuce 

  • Sliced red onions 

  • Pickle slices

  •  Sliced tomato 

  • “Big Mac” Sauce (recipe above)

“ Big Mac” Sauce 

  1. Mix all the ingredients into a bowl and set aside until ready to use. 

Tacos:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium- high heat. 

  2. Spread about ⅓ cup ground beef over one side of a tortilla. Sprinkle it with salt and pepper. 

  3. Add a small amount of oil to the skillet to avoid sticking. Place your tortilla beef side down on the skillet. Press with a burger press or spatula for 1-1.5 minutes or until a nice crust has formed over the meat. Flip and lower the heat to medium- low. Place a piece of vegan cheese, if using over the meat and cover for a minute to allow the “cheese” to melt.  If you are not adding “cheese” just flip for about 30 seconds and heat uncovered until the other side is toasted. 

  4. Remove from heat and top with your preferred toppings. Fold and enjoy!
